Halfway through the 19th century the first seasonal workers from Germany came to try their luck in the northern regions of the Netherlands. They were strong men and they were remarkably well-dressed. Such that the wives of the farmers, where they worked for, asked them to bring some of those beautiful "sheet" the following year. And so there was a lively trade, which finally resulted in the permanent residence in the new homeland. The surname Lunter dates from this period and is registered in Friesland since 1869.
What started as a one man business, has grown over the years, into a solid partner for many retailers in the country. Thanks to them and their demand for a variety of products, the know-how is one of the pillars on which the company rests. The resulting agility and flexibility has resulted in the company it is today.
